Room Booking Policy

Robson Library Room Reservation Policy

Study rooms and carrels are by reservation only. You may submit reservation requests here.

We have 4 single occupancy study carrels, 5 study rooms with occupancy limits of 4, and one study room with an occupancy limit of 8.

  • You may not exceed occupancy limits or move furniture between rooms/from other study tables.

  • In room 201 (maximum occupancy of 8) there is a TV equipped with a DVD player and Apple TV. Remotes can be checked out at the circulation desk.  By reserving this space you accept responsibility for that equipment.

  • By reserving any of our study rooms you accept responsibility for any damage to the room, furniture, or any equipment in the room. If there is an issue when you arrive, please alert staff.

  • You may reserve rooms for 1 hour a day. After that hour, if the room is unoccupied, you may continue to use the space until the next booking. This is to ensure every student has access to our limited spaces.

  • If you or your group are disruptive to others studying in the library, you will first be asked to please be respectful that this is a library and people are studying (we recommend using headphones even in the study rooms as sound travels). If disruptions continue we will ask you to vacate the space and find another place on campus to study or meet as a group. If you are continually disruptive, we will not approve any further use of these spaces.

  • If you cause damage to a room or equipment, you may be charged to replace the equipment and you will be asked to leave the space immediately and all future requests for reservations will be denied.

  • If you used the whiteboards, please erase your work when finished. Do not leave messages for others, derogatory remarks, or inappropriate images on the whiteboards. Whiteboard kits can be checked out from the circulation desk.

We know accidents do happen. If you spill a drink, knock your chair into the wall and cause damage, or something happens, please alert one of our staff members so we can work together on a solution. By taking initiative and responsibility, you will not lose the privilege to access these spaces.

When you make your reservation you are agreeing to follow these policies and accepting responsibility for the room during your reservation time.
