Check Out Privileges

Current Ozarks students, faculty, and staff are eligible to check out materials from Robson Library.

Residents of Johnson County may also check out materials. If you are not a local resident or a current member of the Ozarks community, please consider using interlibrary loan services at your local library to borrow materials.

To check out library materials, please present your University ID card. University IDs are issued to all current Ozarks faculty, staff, and students. Residents of Johnson County may use their Johnson County Library ID. Local residents may also obtain ID cards at the Public Safety Office, but it costs $10.

Non-Circulating Materials

Most periodicals (magazines or journals), newspapers, Reserve materials, and reference books do not leave Robson Library.

Reserved Materials

Faculty may place personal items as well as Robson Library's holdings on Reserve for their courses. To place materials on Reserve, email Doug Denné at ddenne@ozarks.edu or contact him by telephone at (479) 979-1382.

To find materials on Reserve, please go to the online catalog or ask at the Circulation Desk.

Fines

The library does not charge fines for overdue materials. But, Robson Library staff closely monitor the status of overdue materials.

All Patrons

If a patron loses or refuses to return an item when Robson Library asks for its return, the patron will be charged the list price of the item and a $10 processing fee. If the item is out of print, the patron will be charged at least $25 plus a $10 processing fee. The patron will also lose borrowing privileges at both Robson Library and Johnson County Library until that fine is paid.

Students

If a student loses or refuses to return an item when Robson Library asks for its return, then the Business Office will charge the student’s account for the replacement of that item (list price of the item and a nonrefundable processing fee of $10). The student will also lose borrowing privileges at both Robson Library and Johnson County Library until that fine is paid.
